The course will give you a taste of what the industry is like so you can work out if you want to pursue dance as a career. If you successfully complete this course you will receive a Certificate II in Dance CUA20113. VET Dance is available as a VCE subject OR as part of a VCAL program.

VCE VET Dance Entry Requirements

There are no pre-requisites to enrol in this course, but previous experience in dance will be an advantage. Students may commence VCE VET Dance in year 10 or 11.

What makes our program unique

We have a long history of providing high quality technique training and partnering with industry leaders to provide students with Masterclasses and other opportunities as they progress through their dance training. We are very proud to partner with Ausdance in the delivery of this exciting program which will be a great boost to the students as they train dance through Year 10, 11 and 12 in school. Not only will this program provide the students who are already training in dance with real industry knowledge, it can be used to obtain qualification and count towards their ATAR.

Our students study multiple dance styles and thus we are able offer the full range of dance electives in VCE VET Dance. Whether your strengths are in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hiphop (Street), Contemporary or Cultural Dance (Character), you can select a combination that works best for you.

VCE VET DANCE ATAR Score Contribution

- 2 solos (one in each dance style) contribute 50% to your ATAR score for VCE VET Dance
